Wager Talk Custom Logo Design
Sports handicapping forum Wagertalk.com logo design was made by using Adobe Illustrator CS2. The simple logo design really captures the essence of the sports handicapping website.
The logo designer used the live trace feature of Adobe Illustrator CS2 with a rasterized image of a wizard for the first layer. After using the live trace he then converted the image into paths. The vectored wizard image was then customized by changing the skin color and clothing. The logo designer also drew poker chips and money to add more wagering details to the defining image.
The font used into this logo design is Hamburg-Extrabold. As the second layer, the word WAGERTALK was split into two parts to make room for the wizard's image at the middle. The word TALK was italicized by the logo designer. The designer used the gradient tool with colors orange and custard for the font color scheme. To make the solid black stroke the designer created a copy of the second layer then stroked it six pixel ticker.
After completing all the elements the wizard image is then place at the middle of the words WAGER and TALK. Then the logo designer placed a small gray colored .com with offset black strokes after WAGERTLAK and an Arial font "Talking Sport Wagers since 1996" at the bottom right corner.
